The leverage door closes — MEXC delists the last CAW futures
❶ At 07:00 UTC on Dec 21, 2023, MEXC delisted the 1000CAWUSDT perpetual futures (announced Dec 15, six contracts in one batch; open positions closed at the index price at delisting). With that, no leveraged CAW product remained on the market. ❷ The lineage: leverage had existed since the very first listing day — on Apr 19, 2022, the same day spot went live, MEXC launched CAWUSDT perpetual futures (11:40 UTC, 1–20x — the launch notice covers futures only). Spot margin existed too: CAW/USDT appears in the margin delisting notice of Oct 28, 2022 03:00 UTC (nine pairs in one batch). When margin opened, and at what leverage, no announcement we can find says — so that detail stays unverified rather than stated. Futures were re-listed on Apr 14, 2023 (no announcement of the earlier delisting has been found — that gap stays unverified), switched to the 1000CAW contract on Jun 20, the old CAWUSDT contract was delisted Aug 5 — and on Dec 21 the last one came down. ❸ As of Jul 27, 2026, MEXC's contract API returns "Contract not exists" for both CAW_USDT and 1000CAW_USDT — no re-listing since. Spot CAW/USDT and CAW/USDC continue to this day. None of the announcements state a reason; the record is the dates alone.
